Some interesting facts about the market
- It’s estimated that 11,000 people in the UK were aged 100 or over by mid-2007. Current population projections suggest that number will reach almost 59,000 by 2031. People who are spending 40 or more years in retirement will see their circumstances and priorities change – they’ll need your advice.
- Average growth in the population over state pensionable age between 1981 and 2007 was less than 1% a year. Between 2006 and 2007, the growth rate was nearly 2%. Double the amount of people over this age means double the amount of potential clients for your business.
