What did we win in 2005?
Service awards
At the Financial Adviser Practiv Service Awards in November 2005, we kept our four-star award for Life and Pensions service for the third year running. We also picked up three stars in the Investment Providers category - an improvement on our rating last year and a sign of our commitment to improving in this area.
Top for technology
AEGON Scottish Equitable picked up six 'eee' awards for technology from Money Marketing in September 2005 - for individual pensions, self-invested personal pensions, income drawdown and group pensions. We won two more awards for our online A-day capabilities: A-day tools and A-day readiness. And these awards were all triple 'e' rated, the highest score possible.
We were also awarded 'ee' for our annuities technology. An impressive start since we've not been in this market for long, but we recognise the importance of technology and are committed to improving this.
At the Pensions Management Technology Awards 2005, we were highly commended in two categories: Best Technology for personal pensions; and Best Technology for self-invested personal pensions.
Company awards
At the Financial Adviser Life and Pensions Awards in May, we were awarded Group Pensions Provider of the Year 2005. This award was voted for by financial advisers. They were asked to rate companies in relation to competitive rates, product innovation, sales, marketing and PR, charges and financial adviser support. At the same awards ceremony, we came third in the Pension Provider of the Year category.
In May, AEGON Scottish Equitable International won the International Insurance Excellence Award at the 2005 KPMG Business and Finance Awards.

Company awards
- AEGON Scottish Equitable was named Pensions Provider of the Year by one of the largest financial adviser firms in the UK, the Lighthouse Group. We were given this award for our commitment to driving costs down in the pensions market, our strong product range, consistently high service standards and continued support for financial advisers.
